Who we are
We are a standing service committee. This means we are a group of people who have adopted AA's primary purpose of staying sober, helping other alcoholics to achieve sobriety, and fitting ourselves to be of maximum service to God and our fellows. Our intent is to generate awareness among young people in A.A. of a vibrant and growing fellowship of young, sober alcoholics. The committee facilitates and supports group projects in and around the community such as hosting events to foster unity and excitement, and bidding to attract young people’s conferences to the Detroit Area. We adhere to AA's Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of World Service in all of our activities.
